interior design studio I projects
In Studio I, we focused on residential projects. We worked in Revit and learned how to model components, apply materials, and create renderings. We also learned how to put together process books and presentations of our projects.
GREAT ROOM
The first project I worked on was the Great Room Project, where I selected a famous fashion designer and designed a multi-purpose room for them. I chose Levi Strauss, the creator of Levi Jeans and the man who patented blue jeans.
For this design, I wanted a rugged and masculine feel to the space. I based the materials palette off the idea of the Old West, where the land was harsh and unforgiving; cowboys worked long, dusty days; and outlaws were at every corner.
PALM SPRINGS HOUSE
The second project I worked on was the Palm Springs House. I selected a client and based the layout around their needs and wants. My client, a 23-year-old journalist, had just moved to the Palm Springs area with her dog and cat for a job, and this was her first house. I went through several layouts before I selected one that matched her needs the best.
